Joshua Hopps earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Riverside, where he majored in Neuroscience with a focus on neuropharmacology.

Prior to joining Jacoby & Meyers, he was a Deputy District Attorney in Mendocino County, where he tried ten jury trials to verdict and handled numerous appellate matters, developing a reputation for meticulous trial preparation and courtroom command. He subsequently transitioned to civil defense litigation, where he worked at a large firm, representing Fortune 100 companies in personal injury, medical malpractice, employment and business disputes across both state and federal courts. Drawing on this dual background in criminal prosecution and civil defense, Mr. Hopps now serves as Trial Attorney Lead at J&M, where he brings a rare combination of hands-on jury trial experience and sophisticated civil litigation strategy to every case he handles on behalf of clients.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Hopps is a creative writer with a passion for horror and true crime storytelling. He enjoys spending time with his family and can often be seen walking his Bengal cats in his free time.
