El Granada, CA (August 10, 2022) – A suspected DUI El Granada car accident on Highway 1 left three people severely injured in San Mateo County. According to Mercury News, the crash happened at around 4:15 pm on Wednesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV heading north on Highway 1 swerved and veered into opposite traffic. It then crashed into a sedan.
Responders then arrived at the scene and found the SUV’s male driver, his passenger, and the sedan’s female driver with major injuries.
Responders then transported them to Stanford Hospital. Reports indicated that they flew out at least one of the victims.
Right now, authorities are still investigating this crash. However, they believe alcohol or drugs might’ve played a role in this case.
Authorities then closed both directions of Highway 1. Although, they ended the road closure at around 8:00 pm.
