Laura Lynn Davidson, a Partner at Jacoby & Meyers, brings a strong and empathetic presence to the courtroom where she holds large corporations and insurance entities accountable.
As a Partner at Jacoby & Meyers, Laura Lynn Davidson blends compassionate advocacy with formidable courtroom presence to hold corporations and insurance companies accountable. She focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and motor carrier cases, securing millions in recoveries for her clients, including numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements throughout California.
Recognized by her peers and the legal community, she has been selected to Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers every year since 2022. These honors reflect her consistent commitment to professionalism, results, and client-centered representation.
Before joining Jacoby & Meyers, she developed a strong foundation in business and tax litigation and transactions at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles. That early experience continues to inform her strategic approach to complex litigation.
Davidson earned her B.A. in Geography & Environmental Studies from UCLA and her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, where she served as Chief Production Editor of the Southern California Review of Law and Women’s Studies. She is a proud alumna of the Trojan Horse Trial Skills Program and the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute.
In addition to her litigation work, she contributes regularly to the legal community through writing and thought leadership. Her recent publications in Advocate magazine include:
- “Litigating Against Camps When Children Are Injured” (August 2021), which addresses overcoming waivers, assumption of risk, and immunities in cases involving child injuries at camps.
- “Using Motions to Compel and Protective Orders to Stop the Defense’s Games” (December 2020), a tactical guide to managing discovery abuse and leveraging motions effectively to protect clients’ rights.
Named a Top 10 Attorney by Attorney and Practice Magazine in 2020, she remains an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and the UCLA Alumni Association.
Outside the courtroom, Davidson is deeply committed to community service. She volunteers at her children’s schools, mentors UCLA students, and contributes to the advancement of young women through her role on Alpha Phi’s National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Delegation.
She is admitted to all State and Federal Courts in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and has also been admitted pro hac vice in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
With integrity, grit, and heart, Davidson delivers justice for her clients while strengthening the communities she serves.
