Aaron McDonald and Irene Jaramillo Killed in Crash Caused by Pursuit in Rialto
Rialto, CA (April 4, 2022) – Aaron McDonald (31) and Irene Jaramillo (30) died in a crash involving a vehicle being chased by the police in Rialto. According to ABC 7, the incident happened at around 1:00 am on Saturday.
According to authorities, the car chase involved a drunk driver and police from the Colton Police Department. Pursuit started around Pepper Avenue and the 10 Freeway. Then, driver Alejandro Canchola (24) and a passenger Jose Castrocota (21) went into Rialto, with Rialto police officers joining the pursuit.
Later, Canchola approached the Cedar-Randall avenues intersection and collided with a silver 2019 Nissan Sentra, which had McDonald and Jamarillo as occupants. After crashing into the Nissan, Canchola’s vehicle also crashed into a home in the area.

Both Aaron McDonald and Irene Jaramillo died due to severe injuries caused by the car accident.
McDonald and Jamarillo sustained critical injuries, killing the both of them. Meanwhile, responders transported Canchola and Castrocota to the hospital after sustaining moderate injuries. Luckily, the home involved in the crash had no occupants.
According to police, Canchola will face murder charger. They’ll arrest him and take him to the San Bernardino County jail after his release from the hospital.
McDonald and Jamarillo’s family members and friends expressed their grief in a GoFundMe page. The page stated, “anyone who knew Irene knew what a kind and caring soul she was. Anyone who knew Aaron knew how kind and what a hard worker he was. They both loved each other so much and were in the works of planning a wedding for this summer.”
Donations will be spent to lay both McDonald and Jamarillo to rest together.
