Moreno Valley Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash Left Anthony Flanagan Severely Injured
Moreno Valley, CA (June 2, 2022) – A Moreno Valley hit-and-run motorcycle accident left Anthony Flanagan (25) with major injuries to his leg. According to NBC Los Angeles, the accident happened at around 1:00 am on Thursday.
Anthony Flanagan sustained severe injuries on his leg after getting involved in a Moreno Valley hit-and-run motorcycle accident.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Flanagan drove his motorcycle east on the 60 Freeway. Then, a speeding car suddenly hit him and fled the scene. The driver didn’t stop to provide assistance. However, Flanagan miraculously survived after bystanders helped him.
Flanagan shared with NBC Los Angeles that he got thrown off in the air because of the impact. He said, “I was just in the air, and I started sliding forever.”
After the accident, responders took Flanagan to the hospital, where he later got surgery on his leg. Flanagan said, “I’m blessed, you know, I’m walking, and that’s all that counts.”
His uncle Christopher Flores couldn’t believe that his nephew survived the impact, claiming he had a guardian angel. Flores said, “at that rate of speed, honestly, he’s got a guardian angel.”
“The fact that the car kept going and had no remorse, nothing… I hope he’s held accountable if he is caught,” he said. Flores said this after recalling his own near-death experience in a motorcycle crash.
He continued, “it hurt. I cried. Because you wouldn’t think that he would have made it after that. And it brings back flashbacks for me. I got hit by a drunk driver on mine.”
Both Flores and Flanagan ask motorcycle riders to always focus on the road. Also, they ask to never hesitate to help a rider in need. Flanagan said, “I feel thankful he helped me. He gave me a bottle of water and told me to lay on the dirt.”
