Breen Mullins Died in a San Carlos Pedestrian Crash
San Carlos, CA (December 24, 2023) – Breen Mullins (69) of Redwood City died in a San Carlos pedestrian crash after two vehicles struck him. According to The Mercury News, the crash occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Breen Mullins died in a San Carlos pedestrian crash on the 1400 block of El Camino Real, near Belmont Avenue.
Breen Mullins, 69-year-old resident of Redwood City, was identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office as the victim in this San Carlos pedestrian crash.
According to the report, Breen Mullins was tragically struck and killed by two vehicles while crossing a road in San Carlos.
A 27-year-old resident of Redwood City was the first to hit Breen Mullins as he drove north on El Camino Real.
San Mateo County authorities reported that neither drugs nor alcohol played a part in this incident. Moreover, this driver cooperated fully with law enforcement.
However, the driver of a second vehicle hit the victim and fled the scene, only to be caught and arrested later.
This driver was later identified as Hok Gwan Jong, 66, based in San Mateo.
Eventually, the authorities charged him with felony hit-and-run and took him to the Maguire Correctional Facility.
Despite paramedics’ best efforts, Breen Mullins did not survive the crash.
