According to Officer Javier Navarro, a CHP spokesperson, the collision occurred at around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Redlands Avenue and Mildred Street, where a motorcycle officer collided with the rear of a Toyota Tundra pulling a trailer that was moving away from a stop sign.
Navarro mentioned, “What played a role in that, we don’t know.”
As a result of the crash, the officer suffered a concussion and a neck injury. As of Thursday, the injured victim was still in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Sgt. Wendy Brito-Gonzalez, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, noted that the two occupants of the pickup did not seem to be injured and declined medical treatment at the scene.
