David Valverde Fatally Struck by Street-Racing Motorcyclist on Scenic Drive in Modesto
Modesto, CA (October 31, 2022) – David Valverde (66) was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian crash on Scenic Drive in Modesto. According to The Modesto Bee, the crash happened before 10:00 pm on Friday.
A street-racing motorcyclist fatally struck David Valverde on the sidewalk of Scenic Drive in Modesto.
The Modesto Police Department reported a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a motorcyclist on the sidewalk of Scenic Drive in Modesto.
A bystander reportedly attempted life-saving measures on the victim while waiting for the authorities to arrive. Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene.
The Stanislaus County coroner’s office identified the victim as David Valverde of Modesto.
According to police, a motorcycle and a vehicle were engaged in a street race before the unfortunate crash. Meanwhile, Valverde was on the sidewalk along the cemeteries on Scenic Drive.
In an attempt to avoid another vehicle, the motorcyclist swerved to the right and hit the curb. This crash caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle and crash into Valverde.
The motorcyclist was then taken to an area hospital for injuries. Meanwhile, the other driver did not sustain any injuries and stayed at the scene.
