LAKE FOREST, CA (April 21, 2019) – One young father has died and one other injured after a three-vehicle accident around 7:35 p.m on Easter Sunday.
Dominic Tortorete was only one day away from his 27th birthday when he was killed in the collision at the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Entrados Drive.
The Orange County Sheriff’s department has started that witnesses reported that Tortorete attempted to cross Muirlands Boulevard on Entrados Drive in his Jeep, but that he failed to yield to approaching traffic. As a result, he struck two other vehicles, a black Toyota sedan and a white Ford truck.
Tortorete’s jeep then rolled over. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Toyota reported injuries, but the driver of the Ford did not.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately know if drugs or alcohol were involved in the deadly crash. Tortorete leaves behind a fiancée and a 1-year old daughter.
