Bakersfield, CA (November 7, 2022) – Megan Nicole Fanucchi (34) was identified as the fatality in a hit-and-run crash on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield. According to BakersfieldNow, the crash was responded to on Friday around 10:30 pm.

The Bakersfield Police responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash involving a female pedestrian on Stockdale Highway near Village Lane.
Responding officers found the woman at the scene with major injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Megan Nicole Fanucchi of Bakersfield.
According to police, Fanucchi was crossing the road when she was initially struck by a silver sedan, then a black Chevy or a GMC truck. Both drivers reportedly fled the scene.
