Jeffery Lanie sustained fatal injuries in a motorcycle crash on the 405 Freeway
Hawthorne, CA (January 19, 2022) – Jeffery Lanie (37) died after getting involved in a motorcycle accident in Hawthorne. The incident happened at around 11 am on Sunday northbound on the San Diego (405) Freeway west of El Segundo Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a vehicle rear-ended the motorcycle Lanie was riding. Another person got injured during the accident and was taken to the hospital immediately.
Right now, it is unclear if Lanie was the driver or the passenger of the involved motorcycle.
Authorities are still investigating the freeway accident that killed Jeffery Lanie.
The coroner’s office shared that Lanie died because of numerous traumatic injuries. The crash caused traffic congestion in most of the northbound 405 Freeway between 105 Freeway and Century Boulevard.
