Bakersfield, CA (December 13, 2023) – Jose Guadalupe De La Paz (28) of Bakersfield died at the scene of a Bakersfield crash where a vehicle split in two. According to KGET, police responded to calls about the crash at around 10:03 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jose Guadalupe De La Paz, a 28-year-old Bakersfield resident, died at the scene of a Bakersfield crash on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a solo-vehicle crash at the Shell gas station located at the roundabout on E. Bear Mountain Blvd and Weedpatch Highway.
According to the reports, a Honda driven by Jose Guadalupe De La Paz veered off the roadway, collided with a raised concrete curb, traveled through a roundabout, and ultimately struck a metal column at the Shell gas station.
Unfortunately, the impact caused the Honda to split in two, ejecting De La Paz. He also suffered significant injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, no additional injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
