FRESNO, CA (June 22, 2019) – Laci Wilson, 29, and 8-year-old Reagan Wilson were killed in a crash on State Route 168, east of Vineyard Lane, near Prather.
The fatal accident happened just before 10 a.m., when the GMC Yukon that Wilson was driving suddenly swerved into oncoming traffic, before overturning onto the driver’s side. The vehicle then slid into the eastbound lanes of State Route 168. A 58-year-old woman driving a 2019 Ford F150, who was going about 45 miles per hour, then collided into the front end of the GMC.
Laci and her daughter Reagan were pronounced dead at the scene. Wilson’s 4-year-old son, who was also in the car, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. The driver of the Ford was also taken to the hospital, but is expected to recover.
Laci leaves behind a husband and another son, who were at home at the time of the accident, according to the family’s GoFundme page. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes were closed following the crash. California Highway Patrol stated that all passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time, and drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the deadly accident.
