Manteca, CA (April 14, 2024) – A Manteca car crash along Highway 120 killed four, including an infant, and injured three others. According to ABC10, police responded to the scene around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.

A Manteca car crash along Highway 120, westbound east of Van Ryn Avenue, claimed the lives of four people after a vehicle overturned and caught fire on Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2011 Toyota Sienna was traveling west on Highway 120 at approximately 60 to 65 miles per hour when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The Sienna, then, veered into the center median, careened across the dirt and grass median dividing the eastbound and westbound lanes, and hurtled into the air.
It also traversed the Van Ryn Avenue undercrossing, collided with the overpass, overturned, and burst into flames.
Fortunately, bystanders rescued four minors from the engulfed vehicle, among them an infant and three children ranging from six to 14 years old. Additionally, a 14-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy, and a 7-year-old girl sustained significant injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
A total of seven individuals were inside the vehicle.
However, four occupants, including the driver and the infant, died at the scene of the accident.
Moreover, authorities have yet to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in this Manteca car crash.
