Mountain View Pursuit Crash Killed Two Children, Injured Mother and Her Friend
Mountain View, CA (December 8, 2023) – A Mountain View pursuit crash killed two children, a four and eight-year-old, and caused major injuries to the mother and her friend. According to FOX5, the crash happened around 6:14 p.m. on Saturday.

A Mountain View pursuit crash ended in tragedy as a collision resulted in the deaths of two children while their mother and her friend sustained severe injuries.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the chase began at 32nd Street and Oceanview Boulevard in Logan Heights.
Then, Angel Daniel Salgado Velasquez, a 20-year-old suspect, led the police chase onto Interstate 805 southbound, eventually exiting the freeway via the 43rd Street off-ramp in his BMW.
Unfortunately, this Mountain View pursuit crash ended with the BMW colliding with a Honda sedan.
As a result, the impact led the Honda to a severe crash into a tree down an embankment, causing it to erupt in flames, said the California Highway Patrol.
Sadly, both the boys, aged four and eight, in the Honda, were rushed to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old mother of the boys and her 29-year-old friend were hospitalized with severe injuries.
Velasquez, the lone occupant of the BMW, fled the crash site but was apprehended later.
