PASO ROBLES, CA (September 9, 2019) – Denise Kudla, 59, Bobbi Jo Bainconnor, 45, and 51-year-old Jeffrey A. McNemey were killed in a Labor Day car accident on Nacimiento Lake Drive.
Just after 2 p.m., east of San Marcos Road, California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly two-vehicle crash. The CHP stated that McNemey, who was driving a 2015 Dodge Dart, crossed over the double yellow lines on the roadway and crashed head-on into a Ford F-150.
Both vehicles were spun off into the side of the road. McNemey and his passenger Bainconnor were pronounced dead at the scene. Kudla, the passenger of the Ford, was given CPR and transported to the hospital, but died of her injuries a short time later.
John Kudla, 58, was driving the Ford and is the sole survivor of the accident. The CHP said McNemey was not wearing a seatbelt and was speeding and possibly driving under the influence of alcohol prior to the fatal crash.
The crash is currently under investigation.
