The fatal incident happened in the 40 block of S. Jackson Avenue near Interstate 680 and Alum Rock Avenue. It took place in the Jackson Square parking lot.
Unfortunately, emergency teams pronounced the adult male pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed for now.
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that the garbage truck’s driver stayed on-site and assisted investigators.
