WOODLAND, CA (November 12, 2019) – A tow truck driver was killed in a collision with another SUV on Highway 16 and County Road 94B, just after 4 p.m.
The accident occurred when a Davis woman, who was stopped at a stop sign on County Road 94B heading southbound, attempted to cross the intersection but instead struck the tow truck driver, who was driving east on Highway 16.
The tow truck driver was unable to react in time to avoid being hit by the Subaru SUV, and was pushed off the road into a ditch. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof, killing the driver.
The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries. The deadly crash is still under investigation by the CHP, but they do not believe speed, drugs, or alcohol to be a factor at this time.
