Xavier Selzer Died at the Scene in Sunnyvale Wrong-Way Crash
Sunnyvale, CA (April 27, 2023) – Xavier Selzer (22) of Hayward was identified as the fatality in a wrong-way crash on Highway 37 in Sunnyvale. According to KTVU, the crash occurred around 4 a.m.

California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal wrong-way crash where a driver heading in the wrong direction struck a 22-year-old man.
The Santa Clara County coroner identified the 22-year-old victim as Xavier Selzer from Hayward.
According to CHP, Seltzer was traveling westbound on Highway 237 when a wrong-way driver slammed his vehicle head-on.
After the crash, both drivers died at the scene.
Authorities only identified the wrong-way driver as a 34-year-old from San Francisco.
The cause of this Sunnyvale wrong-way crash is yet to be determined.
However, police suspect the driver was under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
