Xueyuan Zhang Died at the Scene of a Coast Highway Pedestrian Accident in Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach, CA (January 29, 2023) – Xueyuan Zhang (39) was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian accident on Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. According to The Orange County Register, the accident occurred around 2:47 am on Saturday.
Xueyuan Zhang was found fatally injured following a Coast Highway pedestrian accident in Laguna Beach.
The Laguna Beach Police and Fire Personnel responded to a call from a witness in the 700 block of Coast Highway.
The witness reportedly found the victim lying outside a nearby crosswalk. The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities recently identified the victim as Xueyuan Zhang.
According to Lt. Cornelius Ashton of Laguna Beach police, the driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police determined that alcohol or drugs did not appear to be involved. They are also investigating whether the victim fell on the road before the crash.
