According to Clovis police, a car hit a pedestrian in the Herndon and Sunnyside avenues. The car’s driver David Lowndes (44) then stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities. However, authorities arrested him under suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). They then took him to the Fresno County Jail.
Then, they immediately took the pedestrian to a hospital due to serious injuries. Authorities later closed Westbound Herndon Avenue to clear the road.
