Palm Desert, CA (September 19, 2023) – Connie Ramirez, 72, of Palm Desert, succumbed to fatal injuries in a two-vehicle collision in a Palm Desert car crash. According to the Desert Sun, the accident was reported around 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

A fatal Palm Desert car crash claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman, as shared by the Riverside County Fire Department on social media.
The collision occurred at the crossing of Hovley Lane East and Washington Street.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Spokesperson Sgt. Deirdre Vickers stated the deputies found a two-vehicle crash and good Samaritans attempting to save one driver’s life.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the Cal Fire team who took over from the Samaritans, the driver succumbed and was declared dead.
The deceased was later identified as Connie Ramirez, a 72-year-old Palm Desert resident.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital, per authorities.
Initial evidence suggests that Connie Ramirez was making a turn south into a parking lot when an eastbound vehicle hit her.
The department stated that alcohol or drug consumption doesn’t appear to have contributed to the accident.
An investigation led by the sheriff’s department is underway.
