The California Highway Patrol reported an accident involving a motorcycle police sergeant and an SUV in Coronado.
Responders transported the 25-year-old police sergeant to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was reportedly able to radio for help after the accident.
According to reports, the motorcycle got caught in the SUV’s grill after the SUV collided with the police sergeant.
This caused the police sergeant to be sent over the handlebars, hit the SUV’s hood, and then land on the ground.
Police believe that drugs or alcohol did not appear to be involved.
