David Klingenfuss Killed in Pedestrian Crash in Modesto
Modesto, CA (May 5, 2022) – David Klingenfuss (30) was identified as the pedestrian killed in an accident on Briggsmore Avenue near Roselle Avenue in Modesto. According to the Modesto Bee, the incident happened at around 3:30 am on Thursday.
According to authorities, they received a report about a pedestrian crash eastbound on Briggsmore Avenue. When they arrived, the at-fault driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Modesto Police Department spokesman Sgt. Kalani Souza shared with the Modesto Bee that they found no indications of drugs or alcohol being factors in this incident.
After the crash, authorities closed eastbound on Briggsmore for hours. This road closure included the portion from Oakdale Road and Roselle Avenue.
Later on the same day, another pedestrian crash happened at around 8:00 am at Oakdale Road. However, the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Also, the at-fault driver cooperated with the authorities.
