Berkeley, CA (March 16, 2023) – A food delivery driver sustained serious injuries in a Berkeley crash on Fulton Street. According to The Berkeleyside, the crash was reported around 3:45 pm.
A food delivery driver suffered serious injuries after being hit by a passing truck’s side view mirror in a Berkeley crash.
Authorities received reports of a Berkeley crash involving a food delivery driver and a truck driver on Fulton Street.
The food delivery driver reportedly sustained serious injuries in the crash. They then took him to Highland Hospital in Oakland.
According to police, the food delivery driver was walking back to his parked cargo van between the rightmost lane and the bicycle lane on the southbound side of Fulton when a passing truck struck him with their side view mirror.
The truck driver did not report any injuries and remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
Berkeley police spokesperson Officer Byron White said their Fatal Accident Investigation Team currently handles the investigation due to the severity of the crash.
