Yesenia Sanchez Fatally Struck By Hit-and-Run Driver in Pico Rivera, Another Victim Suffered Serious Injuries
Pico Rivera, CA (March 13, 2023) – Yesenia Sanchez (37) was identified as the fatality in a hit-and-run crash on Rooks Road in Pico Rivera. An unnamed victim also sustained serious injuries. According to NBC Los Angeles, police arrived at the scene before 11:30 pm.

Police responded to calls of a fatal hit-and-run crash on Rooks Road near Rose Hills Road in Pico Rivera.
Responding officers found three women at the scene.
One was pronounced dead, while the other had serious injuries. The third woman was not injured.
They transported the seriously injured victim to a hospital. Her condition is still unknown.
Meanwhile, the fatality was later identified as 37-year-old Yesenia Sanchez of Los Angeles.
According to authorities, the three women had just left a well-attended event at the Pico Rivera Sports Center.
They were walking on the curb of Rooks Road when a driver struck two of them and then fled the scene.
The hit-and-run driver remains at large. Authorities are yet to determine the description of the driver and their vehicle.
