The authorities reported the fatalities of a Valley Springs couple, identified as 68-year-old Donna Nava and 71-year-old Benino Nava, in a car accident on Highway 26 and Alpine Road in Stockton.
According to Officer Rubin Jones of California Highway Patrol, a silver Infiniti was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 when the driver lost control after encountering gravel on the shoulder.
As a result, the vehicle swerved into the opposite lane, causing it to hit the passenger side of a white F-250.
Police are still uncertain which vehicle the couple was in during the incident.
