San Dimas, CA (June 12, 2023) – A driver had to be rescued following a fiery 57 Freeway crash in San Dimas. Two vehicles were also damaged. According to KTLA, the crash was reported around 12:53 am on Sunday.

Los Angeles County Firefighters responded to a fiery 57 Freeway crash involving two vehicles in San Dimas.
Responders found two damaged vehicles on the scene; a white Toyota and a black Mercedes.
According to Key News Network, the black Mercedes initially caught fire after crashing into the center divider of the southbound lane of the 57 Freeway.
Then, a white Toyota crashed into a light pole after swerving in an attempt to avoid the black Mercedes. This caused the driver to be trapped inside their vehicle.
Firefighters rescued the trapped driver and later transported them to Pomona Valley Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Mercedes driver was also assessed and cleared at the scene.
Right now, the circumstances that led to the initial crash remain unknown. The California Highway Patrol will investigate this 57 Freeway crash in San Dimas.
