Elk Grove, CA (July 27, 2023) – A 63-year-old female driver sustained fatal injuries in an Elk Grove wrong-way car crash between Ginther Drive and Bruceville Road. According to ABC10, the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The Elk Grove Police Department responded to a fatal Elk Grove wrong-way crash where a 63-year-old woman driving a Dodge truck crashed into a tree and died.
According to the report, the woman was driving the truck the wrong way in a turn lane on westbound Elk Grove Boulevard. She ran into the center median and hit a tree.
Unfortunately, the woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, died at the scene.
The police revealed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol played a role in the crash.
Following a closure of several hours overnight, westbound Elk Grove Boulevard reopened between Ginther Drive and Bruceville Road at approximately 5:00 a.m.
