The California Highway Patrol reported a car accident in San Luis Obispo involving a suspected DUI driver near Highway 101.
According to authorities, the DUI driver was traveling north on Higuera Street when he moved toward the southbound roads.
He then slammed into a blue Chevrolet Traverse, causing the vehicle to hit a concrete bridge railing.
After the crash, the responding firefighters had to pull out the trapped passenger and the driver in the collision.
Authorities later arrested the suspected DUI driver, who sustained minor injuries.
Three other victims were brought to the hospital.
