Watsonville, CA (August 16, 2023) – Authorities arrested Francisco Roma Rojas (53) after causing multiple hit-and-run crashes that led to minor injuries and property damage in Watsonville. According to Santa Cruz Sentinel, the string of crashes occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

A series of crashes on Tuesday afternoon has led to allegations of DUI and hit-and-run driving against a Castroville man.
Due to the impact of the crashes, one occupant suffered minor injuries, while the hit-and-run driver sustained significant injuries.
According to California Highway Patrol, Francisco Roma Rojas, aged 53, is believed to have caused collisions involving at least three separate vehicles.
The incidents ended when Rojas drove his red 2000 Chevrolet Silverado into a house east of Mesa Verde Drive, near Green Valley Road.
Responding to the scene shortly before 5 p.m., officers discovered Rojas with significant injuries. He was subsequently taken to a trauma center located out-of-county for medical care.
Moreover, authorities mentioned that the house’s occupants remained unharmed due to the crash.
However, one occupant inside the car suffered minor injuries in one of the prior collisions on Green Valley Road.
