Fresno County Head-On Crash Left One Fatal, Three Others Injured
Fresno County, CA (August 22, 2023) – One person died and three others sustained injuries after a four-vehicle Fresno County head-on crash. According to Fresno Bee, the collision happened around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
A Fresno County head-on crash involving four vehicles left one man fatal and three others injured.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a fatal Fresno County head-on crash involving four vehicles.
The incident occurred at Goodfellow Avenue, west of Vista Avenue, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to three others.
According to CHP spokesman Mike Salas, distracted driving caused a 26-year-old Dinuba woman to hit three other vehicles in a pinball-like motion.
The incident included a head-on crash, which killed a 58-year-old Reedley man.
The driver, identified as Anise Huerta, failed to pay attention while driving a Chevy Silverado, closed in on a slowing vehicle, and swerved to her left.
However, she still struck the Camry that was in front of her.
Huerta’s Silverado then hit a BMW driven by the Reedley man. The force of the collision caused the SUV to transition to the eastbound lane and collide with a Hyundai Accent.
The BMW driver was rushed to Adventist Hospital, where he died of severe injuries.
Meanwhile, Huerta suffered minor to moderate injuries and was taken to Kaiser Hospital.
Moreover, the Accent’s driver sustained minor-to-moderate injuries and was taken to CRMC.
Fortunately, the driver of the Camry from Reedley sustained only minor injuries and declined medical transportation.
Based on the report, CHP officials believe that Huerta’s distracted driving led to the fatal accident and that she’ll possibly face vehicular manslaughter charges.

On Thursday, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office revealed that a man from Sanger lost his life in a serious collision involving multiple vehicles in the Fresno County head-on crash. Authorities suspect that the crash, which resulted in the death of 58-year-old Daniel Uribe, was influenced by distracted driving.
