Fairfield Fatal Head-On Collision Killed Suisun City Man
Fairfield, CA (June 20, 2022) – Gonzalo Torres (70) was identified as the fatality in a head-on collision in Fairfield. According to The Reporter, the incident reportedly occurred on Monday afternoon.
Torres was headed south on Vanden Road when he crossed into oncoming traffic for an undetermined reason. Then, he struck a car carrier trailer.
The Solano County Coroner’s Office identified Gonzalo Torres of Suisun City as the victim of a fatal head-on collision on Vanden Road, Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, Torres was headed south on Vanden Road when he crossed into oncoming traffic for an undetermined reason. Then, he struck a car carrier trailer.
Following the head-on collision, Torres reportedly died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car carrier trailer was uninjured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
