Sacramento Man Killed After Vehicle Veered Off and Hit Boulder in a Granite Bay Road Crash
Sacramento, CA (September 13, 2023) – A 67-year-old Sacramento man succumbed to fatal injuries after his vehicle veered off and hit a boulder in a Granite Bay road crash. According to The Sacramento Bee, the crash occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Granite Bay road crash where a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a large boulder on Auburn Folsom Road, north of Morningside Drive.
The investigation revealed that the man was driving a 2004 blue Saturn southbound on Auburn Folsom Road when his vehicle abruptly veered right and off the road.
Upon deviating from the lane, the vehicle’s front end collided with a significant rock, causing it to flip over and come to rest on its right side.
Unfortunately, the 67-year-old driver from Sacramento was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, no passengers were present in the vehicle.
Following the notification of his family, the Placer County Coroner’s Office will disclose his name.
While the investigation is ongoing, CHP confirms the potential involvement of alcohol or drugs in this incident.
