Bakersfield, CA (July 28, 2023) – Joel Rigoberto Morales (18) of Bakersfield suffered fatal injuries in a Bakersfield car crash. According to Bakersfield Now, the crash occurred at 12:25 a.m. on June 20.

The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a deadly car crash on June 20 at the South H Street and Berkshire Road intersection, resulting in one fatality.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 18-year-old Joel Rigoberto Morales of Bakersfield.
According to a report, two vehicles collided, causing one car to slam through a fence and straight into a canal.
The responding officers mentioned witnessing a submerged vehicle in the canal, with the driver trapped inside.
They then initiated CPR and performed other life-saving measures in an attempt to revive the young man. However, despite their valiant efforts, Morales was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the other driver did not incur any injuries from the accident and remained at the scene for the investigation.
