Jose Mendez-Alonzo Killed in a Pedestrian Accident in Turlock, CA
Turlock, CA (June 6, 2022) – Jose Mendez-Alonzo (38) has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as the fatality in a pedestrian accident on West Main Street on Wednesday. According to The Modesto Bee, the accident happened around 2:00 am.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a Chrysler PT Cruiser heading eastbound on West Main Street struck Jose Mendez-Alonzo.
Then, a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at the scene and attempted CPR on Mendez-Alonzo. Shortly after, CHP officers took over but Mendez-Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly did not notice Mendez-Alonzo until it was too late, according to authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
