Joshua Thomas Edward Mcfarland Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash on Los Berros Road in Nipomo
Nipomo, CA (May 17, 2022) – Joshua Thomas Edward Mcfarland (19) was identified as the cyclist killed in a hit-and-run on Los Berros Road in Nipomo. According to the Tribune, the incident happened at around 11:20 pm on Thursday (May 12).
According to the California Highway Patrol, Mcfarland rode his electric bicycle on Los Berros Road’s southbound lane. Then, Dylan Lammers (41) drove his black Jeep Cherokee into Mcfarland’s back tire.

Mcfarland then went south because of the impact. Then, he came to a rest on the right shoulder of the road. Responders from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office found him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, Lammers fled the scene. However, he later contacted the CHP to report the accident. Authorities arrested him at home after receiving the report. According to the Tribune, he is no longer held by the San Luis Obispo County Jail based on recent jail records.
