Madera County, CA (September 16, 2022) – Kalia Emani Bess (23) was identified as the sole fatality in the fatal crash on Highway 41 in Madera County. According to Your Central Valley, the accident was reported around 8:16 am on Thursday.
An initial collision caused the sedan driven by Kalia Emani Bess to collide head-on with an SUV on Highway 41 in Madera County.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of a fatal crash involving three vehicles on Highway 41 in Madera County.
Responding officers reported one fatality after the crash. She was identified as Kalia Emani Bess of Fresno.
According to the CHP, a sedan and a pickup headed northbound collided as the northbound traffic lanes merged into one. Then, the sedan spun out of control and went directly into the path of another SUV.
The initial collision caused the sedan and the SUV to collide head-on. Bess drove the sedan.
The SUV driver reportedly sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the pickup driver did not sustain any injuries.
This incident remains under further investigation.
