Bakersfield, CA (March 27, 2023) – Faustino Sierra Vega (57) was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of 4th and V Streets in Bakersfield. According to KGET, the crash occurred around 7:00 pm on Friday.

Responding officers found an unresponsive pedestrian with major injuries lying on the road. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to authorities, Vega was crossing the road in an unmarked section in a wheelchair when a motorist struck him.
