Faustino Sierra Vega Fatally Injured in a Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident
Bakersfield, CA (March 27, 2023) – Faustino Sierra Vega (57) was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of 4th and V Streets in Bakersfield. According to KGET, the crash occurred around 7:00 pm on Friday.
Faustino Sierra Vega was fatally injured after a motorist struck him while crossing the road in a wheelchair in Central Bakersfield.
The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a fatal pedestrian accident at the intersection of 4th and V Streets in Bakersfield.
Responding officers found an unresponsive pedestrian with major injuries lying on the road. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kern County Coroner’s office recently identified the pedestrian as Faustino Sierra Vega of Bakersfield.
According to authorities, Vega was crossing the road in an unmarked section in a wheelchair when a motorist struck him.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Authorities confirmed that the driver was not impaired and was not speeding at the time of the accident.
