Maria Mejia Died After Getting Broad-Sided by a Pickup in Moreno Valley
Moreno Valley, CA (February 28, 2022) – Maria Mejia (58) died after a pickup broad-sided her car at Indian Street and Delphinium Avenue in Moreno Valley. According to Patch.com, the incident happened at around 4:50 pm on Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a black Dodge Ram hit Mejia’s gold Toyota Solana. Then, responders found Mejia unresponsive at the scene. Also, they had to use hydraulic tools to rescue her. They transported her to the hospital, but Mejia later died.

Sgt. Chad Craig said in an article on Patch.com, “The investigation revealed the Dodge was traveling north on Indian Street and the Toyota was traveling west on Delphinium Avenue. As both vehicles entered the intersection, the front of the Dodge collided into the driver’s side of the Toyota.”
Right now, authorities are investigating the case. So far, alcohol seems to be a factor in the incident.
