Mitchell Van Linge Succumbed to Fatal Injuries in Pine Valley Motorcycle Accident
Pine Valley, CA (September 20, 2023) – Mitchell Van Linge (55) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, succumbed to fatal injuries after hitting a guardrail in a Pine Valley motorcycle accident. According to the Times of San Diego, the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Mitchell Van Linge of Simpsonville, South Carolina, died in a Pine Valley motorcycle accident after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a guardrail.
Authorities have identified the victim of a Pine Valley motorcycle accident in the eastern San Diego County highlands that occurred over the weekend.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed the motorcyclist’s identity as 55-year-old Mitchell Van Linge from Simpsonville, South Carolina.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Linge lost control of his Ducati motorcycle on Sunrise Highway in Pine Valley before 1:30 p.m. last Sunday.
The motorcycle, traveling southbound, veered off the road on a curving section approximately 1 1/2 miles north of Old Highway 80 and collided with a guardrail.
Moreover, the impact led to Van Linge being ejected from the motorcycle. According to CHP public affairs Officer Jared Grieshaber, he subsequently tumbled approximately 100 feet down an embankment.
Upon arriving at the scene, paramedics promptly airlifted the motorcyclist to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to fatal injuries at the hospital.
Furthermore, it is presently unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the Pine Valley motorcycle accident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
