The pedestrian, only identified as a 25-year-old woman, suffered two fractured ribs and a laceration to her head following the crash.
According to police, a dark-colored sedan struck the woman as she was crossing El Cajon Boulevard near Idaho Street. The driver then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
When the crash happened, the pedestrian reportedly walked between two parked cars on the roadway.
