Orange County, CA (January 26, 2023) – Alberto Lopez, a 10-year-old child, and an adult woman were identified as the fatalities in a Placentia DUI crash in Orange County. Eight other people also sustained injuries. According to CBS News, the crash was responded to around 8:45 pm.
Two adults and one child were fatally injured after being involved in a Placentia DUI crash. Eight other victims also sustained injuries.

Two victims died at the scene. One of them is identified as Alberto Lopez, while the other is only identified as an adult woman.
The third fatality is a 10-year-old child. She succumbed to injuries while being transported to a hospital.
Eight other victims, including children, were reported to be in minor to critical condition as of Thursday morning.
According to the Placentia Police Department, a Honda Civic driver reportedly ran a red light and crashed into a church van occupied by most of the victims. The impact of the crash caused the passengers to be ejected.
The Honda Civic driver from Santa Ana was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He is charged with a felony DUI.
Right now, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
