Two People Suffered Major Injuries in Rio Vista Boating Accident
Rio Vista, CA (June 21, 2022) – A Rio Vista boating accident in the Deep Water Channel north of Rio Vista left two people with severe injuries. According to the Reporter, the accident happened on Saturday afternoon.
A Rio Vista boating accident hospitalized two people who sustained major injuries in Solano County.
The Rio Vista Fire Department responded to the incident with assistance from the Montezuma Fire Protection District. However, some details about the accident are still unclear.
Montezuma Incident Commander Brad Cain noted that they used a California Highway Patrol (CHP) helicopter to rescue the victims. Also, the wreckage located in the Deep Water Channel was challenging to access.
Then, rescuers flow out the victims to the Rio Vista Fock. Later, a CHP officer drove their boat to the same dock. The victims suffered severe injuries, but they received treatment immediately. Authorities then transported them to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical, one by CHP Helicopter 30 and the other using a Medic Ambulance.
Right now, information about the victims is unavailable. However, Cain shared that they are recovering well, as shared by a paramedic.
