San Diego, CA (August 8, 2023) – Six people sustained injuries in a San Diego Zoo Safari Park crash in the 15000 block of the San Pasqual Valley Road. According to CBS8, police received reports about the crash around 4:02 p.m. on Tuesday.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received an emergency call at approximately 4:02 p.m. about a collision between a pickup truck and a sedan in the eastbound lanes of San Pasqual Valley Road.
55 fire crews responded quickly to the site, including multiple air ambulances due to the distance from nearby hospitals.
Chopper 8’s video footage showcased a group of firefighters meticulously working around the crash site, focused on extricating at least six individuals from the wreckage.
Moreover, a brown sedan displayed a roof that seemed to have been entirely severed due to the impact or to firefighters’ efforts to rescue those trapped inside the vehicle.
Reports indicated that all six victims were transported to a hospital, with four of them severely injured. San Diego Fire-Rescue officials have yet to determine the exact scope of the two victims’ injuries.
In the collaborative rescue efforts, personnel from the City of Poway and the Escondido Fire Department assisted the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department in rescuing the involved individuals.
