East Bay, CA (April 18, 2024) – Two separate East Bay crashes killed two people, identified as Thomas Coleman (30) of Pittsburg and Sherelle Allen (54) of Antioch. According to the Mercury News, the crashes occurred consecutively on Sunday at around 4:07 p.m. and 11:55 p.m.

Two Separate East Bay crashes claimed the lives of Thomas Coleman (30) of Pittsburg and Sherelle Allen (54) of Antioch on Sunday.
The first incident occurred in a T-bone collision at the intersection of W. 10th Street and Auto Center Drive in Antioch around 4:07 p.m. Antioch police reported that Thomas Coleman was driving a blue Acura sedan northbound on Auto Center Drive towards downtown Antioch when he entered the intersection and collided with a silver Lexus traveling west towards Pittsburg.
Despite receiving treatment from medics, Coleman succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus and a passenger were also hospitalized, with authorities confirming that they are expected to recover.
Moreover, around 11:55 p.m., one of the separate East Bay crashes occurred on state Highway 4 in Hercules, just east of Interstate 80, claiming the life of 54-year-old Sherelle Allen from Antioch.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Allen was driving a silver Buick Regal that collided with a gray Jeep Wrangler. She also tragically passed away at the scene of the crash. Fortunately, the driver of the Jeep Wrangler escaped without injury.
Furthermore, this marks the second fatal accident on Highway 4 in 2024. Last year, the highway was the site of 15 fatal crashes in Contra Costa County, resulting in the deaths of 18 individuals, making it the deadliest highway in the county.
