Stanislaus County, CA (January 1, 2024) – A Stanislaus County DUI crash left two passengers fatal. Authorities also arrested the driver suspected of DUI. According to CBS News, the crash happened around 3:44 a.m. on January 1.

A Stanislaus County DUI crash led to the deaths of two passengers. Authorities also arrested the driver, 23-year-old LaGrange resident Issac Urbeana, suspected of DUI.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Lake Road, east of Roberts Ferry Road, near the Turlock Lake State Recreation Area.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered a sedan overturned off the road’s edge.
The vehicle carried four occupants, and unfortunately, a man and a woman seated in the back were ejected during the crash and died at the scene.
While their identities remain undisclosed, one victim has been identified as a 28-year-old Turlock resident.
Meanwhile, investigators have reason to believe that the driver, Issac Urbeana, was under the influence at the time of the incident.
Urbeana has since been arrested and is now facing charges of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with this Stanislaus County DUI crash.
As the investigation continues, authorities work to clarify the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
