Two drivers sustained injuries after being involved in an Interstate 10 car crash.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a wrong-way car crash involving a Chevrolet Cruze and a Chevrolet Camaro on Interstate 10 in Palm Springs.
Authorities said both drivers of the involved vehicles sustained injuries and were treated at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
According to the XHP David Torres, the Chevrolet Cruze was heading east in the westbound lanes towards the exit of Highway 62, which led to a collision with the Camaro.
Due to the impact of the crash, both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
Moreover, the drivers of the vehicles incurred injuries from the collision rather than the fire. Their identities are yet to be determined.
Furthermore, the incident caused significant traffic obstructions on the highway. According to SigAlert, as of 11:30 a.m., the westbound Interstate 10 to Highway 62 ramp remained closed due to this Interstate 10 car crash.
J&M Tip: A car accident claim can easily be proven if the at-fault driver’s negligence is evident and apparent. A wrong-way driver could be liable for an accident if they caused injuries and damages to another vehicle.

More About Car Accident Liability
Various circumstances of the car accident can pinpoint the liability of damages. In some instances, thorough investigations can reveal careless behavior. This can include the simple act of recklessly turning or cutting in front of another vehicle. In terms of determining who is at fault for an accident, this can be defined by common law. Any Sacramento or Los Angeles car accident lawyer recognizes that fault has four basic levels:
- Recklessness (wanton conduct)
- Intentional misconduct
- Strict liability
However, different state laws can have variations of applicable traffic laws. For example, in some states, multiple drivers can be liable for an accident. This is why thorough investigations are important after a car accident. Having a strong case showing the liability of the at-fault party can help guarantee your compensation. Likewise, a car crash attorney can also help you determine all your options, so you can fully recover from the accident. Learn more about car accident lawyers in California here.
