According to David Torres, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol, on August 23, Garcia was driving a 2012 silver Honda southbound on Little Morongo Road at an unknown speed before crashing into a dirt berm.
Due to the crash’s impact, the vehicle landed on the other side of the berm and caught fire.
“Before this location, there are road closure signs due to Little Morongo being washing and inaccessible to the public,” Torres informed City News Service.
Unfortunately, Garcia sustained injuries at 5:30 a.m. and died at the scene at 5:40 a.m., as confirmed by the coroner’s office officials.
Moreover, the victim’s loved ones established a GoFundMe page to assist with his burial and funeral expenses.
